Café-bar Kafé Arkouda is a place where you can have your morning café, debate over the latest world news while listening to funky rock, pop and jazz melodies from the 1960s to now. Kafé Arkouda – or literally Brown Bear, a clever pun on the Greek word kafé which means brown – is a veteran in the bar scene in Pagrati, as ‘the Bear’ was brought to Athens by Giorgos and Eftymia more than 20 years ago from the slopes of Elati near Trikala. Needless to say the couple has interesting stories to tell and if you stay till late one night, you might get to hear one of them.
