Nafplio was the first capital of the Greek state between the years 1823 and 1834. With its rich history that dates back to the prehistoric era, there is no shortage of beautiful sights to take in, whether they be man-made, such as the stunning architecture, or natural. You will need a lot of energy to explore this charming town, so food is an absolute must. Nafplio does not lack in that department either.
