Owners, Ling Ma and Xiaoting Zhang, originally moved to the city to study, ending up in the restaurant game by accident. Transit has two locations in Berlin – having originally opened in Friedrichshain, they have recently opened a sister place in Mitte. Both follow the same concept, authentic Southeast Asian flavours served in a tapas style. The menu is diverse, with well-known favourites, and they pride themselves on serving fresh, homemade food. The flavours are a mixture of Thai and Indonesian, and the menu has a range of dishes, but the duck pancakes, or ‘Duck in Pyjamas,’ is a classic favourite. With red lanterns, a dark interior and romantic lighting, it’s a cosy spot to try a selection of wonderfully made Asian treats.

Cocolo Ramen
