Oranienstraße is one of the most famous and colorful streets that make up the Kreuzberg borough of Berlin. The street has accrued much fame over the years, making it a hotspot for bars and restaurants alike. Whether it’s Asian fusion or some of the most authentic German cuisine, Oranienstraße has a good selection of great restaurants.

Max & Moritz

Max & Moritz is a traditional German beer hall that has been pairing authentic German cuisine and jovial hospitality for over a century. The beer selection is as immense as it is delicious. This is the perfect spot to come try out German beer, especially with the ultra amicable staff who are happy to assist you in a number of languages. The food is German in every way; hearty, served in hefty portions, and dominated by meat.

Sol Y Sombra balances ‘gastro-integrity’ and Spanish culture. Tantalizing tapas at affordable prices are just the tip of the iceberg at this Spanish food haven; things like gazpacho and paella are also created in this lovely joint. An intimate interior, equipped with the inundating mood lighting of a restaurant in Barcelona, aids in fostering an authentic experience. It’s a small spot that serves up big flavors.

3. Pacifico Buns & Burgers

This Asian fusion restaurant has been making waves with their mouthwatering interpretations. Everything from kimchi fries to Seoul bowls to ‘Kimcheezy burgers’ is on their creative menu. Pacifico offers many choices of buns and bowls, so we suggest trying a selection.

5. Fräulein Wild

Cafe, Vegan, Tea

This vegan-friendly cafe right off of Oranienstrasse mixes tea-house charm with a modern revival. Chai teas and treats are taken seriously here. The rotating menus of sweets look as good as they taste, offering everything from lemon tarts to Russischer Zupfkuchen . The lattes are delicious and everything can be made to accommodate the needs of a vegan: soy milk, faux-meat, and vegan bagels. Fräulein Wild also serves quick, thoughtful breakfasts with finesse. Whether you want to satiate the morning munchies or just pop in for an afternoon treat, this charismatic joint will not disappoint.

Angry Chicken

This is a Korean-inspired BBQ and burger joint that delivers on being original, spicy, and delicious. Their in-your-face graffiti style tray paper speaks to the overall vibe of this fusion oasis. Angry chicken plays with tradition and flavor in this fun establishment; potato hot dogs and ‘so so angry’ chicken burgers are a few choice items on their eccentric menu. Angry chicken prioritizes quality ingredients, spices, and mixing amusement with good food.
