The last weekend of May is essentially the last weekend before full on summer – when everyone starts to go on holiday and people quickly rush to bring their New Year’s resolution of an unrealistic summer bod into fruition. As this weekend straddles the distinctly fine line between summer and SUMMER, we’ve got tips to laugh, be merry, indulgently brunch (you’ll exercise next weekend) and relish in the extravagantly fecund time of Berlin.

COMEDY | It’s All News To Me

English-speaking comedians cast a satirical eye over current events for an audience of politically savvy (or else potentially sauced) listeners.

PARTY | Thai & Techno

The grand finale or at least the last one for a long while – either way, for the love of alliteration, check out this coalescence of supreme Thai treats and choice tunes.

EAT | Das Brunch @ Vabrique

It’s no secret that brunch has become a part of the weekend gospel, but not all brunches deliver. With a slew of vegan, vegetarian and carnivorous options in a fantastic locale, Das Brunch won’t disappoint.

For those who haven’t mastered their Deutsche but want to get down right literary, you can find solace in these English bookshops this weekend.

EXPLORE | Waltz Around The Kiez

We all have our go-to spots in Neukölln, but revisiting the same carousel of haunts gets redundant. Try out some of the best secret(ish) spots in this hood.

FILM | Get Thee To A Cinema

Rejoice in the season of open-air everything. A few films are playing at each city-pocket’s respective Kinos this Sunday, so grab a lawn chair, a blanket, or some benches and cozy up to the silver screen in the great outdoors.
