While the German bank holiday system can seem a little odd to foreigners (really, a bank holiday on a Sunday? Banks are always closed on a Sunday!), there are enough free days this month to mean that even the lost committed fun-employed Berliner has plenty to do as locals flock outside to top up their severely depleted Vitamin D and begin the five month long affair with sitting by the Spree with a Sterni.


ART | Gallery Weekend

More than 50 galleries, which throw open their doors and invite curious art buffs and baffled tourists with equal delight

TALK | Re:Publica

1st May

One of the most significant events in digital culture; this year’s event will include discussions on internet politics, music and culture.

MUSIC | Mozart Mai

This month, the team at the Kommischer Oper celebrate the work of Mozart with a number of concerts throughout May.
