This play is performed and written by Carrie Getman and is directed by Daniel Brunet. Since its debut at the 2014 Expat Expo | Immigrant Invasion festival, it has been hibernating. But due to the success and delicately woven narrative, it’s being brought back to life. The story invites the audience to bear witness to a day in the life of a woman who finds herself a stranger in a strange city. With themes that can resonate with all expats who come to Berlin, this play pulls at the heartstrings of those who know all too well what it means to be foreign. As this play explores themes of love, isolation, escape, and confrontation, it paralyzes its audience with familiarity. For one night only, you can be a part of the audience.
