Prenzlauer Berg makes up a section of the Pankow district in northeast Berlin. It is one of the most changed districts of former East Berlin after the reunification of Germany, having experienced rapid gentrification during the last few decades. Its now home to a large number of shops, cafés and restaurants and is a great location to enjoy a relaxed breakfast or brunch. Here’s our favorites.

Hilde

Lovely hospitable place offering a full Irish breakfast with bacon, sausages and eggs every weekend. Vegetarians won’t be let down by its delicious and healthy vegetarian breakfast, as well as the veggie dinner. Hilde’s owners are two friendly artists who offer tasty options in reasonable prices, under the sounds of relaxing, alternative music. It also hosts a number of interesting cultural events, from poetry readings to jazz nights.

Cafe Anna Blume

Cafe Anna Blume is a charming corner decorated with flowers in Prenzlauer Berg. It has a nice view of the neighborhood and offers delicious breakfast and a delightful Sunday brunch. Simple, friendly and affordable little cafe to enjoy breakfast until 4 pm in this modern district of Berlin, with great atmosphere on the terrace. This famous Russian restaurant serves fresh food in a nice surroundings and a quiet terrace. This certified organic Sicilian restaurant Pappa e Ciccia has a strong reputation, with nice simple furniture, lovely staff and great tastes. Beakers is a café-bar in the Dunckerstrasse of Prenzlauer Berg, serving breakfast until 4 pm. It is a comfortable place with good vibes in a great setting.
