Street Eats : Taiwanese Edition

Picture of Brienne Pierce
Updated: 30 June 2016
We’ve all had Mexican street food, Vietnamese street food, Indian street food and just about everything under the sun thanks to the diverse and playful food scene in Berlin. We’re not complaining; we’re just saying, can we try something else? In a city that evolves as quickly as Berlin does, we’re a little oversensitive to being desensitized. Thankfully, this food event brings something new to the table. Here, the often underrepresented region of Taiwan gets to take center stage on the menu. Think of palatable Oolong teas and Gua Bao (Taiwanese burgers) to help you delve into a cultural transcendence. What we also love about this food event is that it aims to provide a bridge and open a dialogue about diversity. Since Berlin is such a diverse city, it’s important to take the time to celebrate and acknowledge each culture, and the best way, if you ask us, is through the communal and ritualistic practice of breaking bread. Tickets are five euros and can be purchased in advance.

📅 July 2nd-3rd

📍 Wegelystraße 1, 10623 Berlin, Germany
