Berliners love coffee and they also love freelancing. That’s why the city is full of coffee shops with fantastic coffee and perfectly working Wi-Fi. If you want to join them we’ve put together a list of Berlin’s most work-friendly spots.

Westberlin, Mitte

Close to the historical Checkpoint Charlie is a hip café with a stable Wi-Fi connection. Early birds can start working at 8:30am. The cafe has a lovely collection of magazines in stock, so be careful not to get distracted. If you need a vitamin hit to work more productively, they sell fresh juices that are full of the good stuff to boost your brainpower.

Sankt Oberholz, Mitte

Forget about the well-known and usually overcrowded Sankt Oberholz Café at Rosenthaler Platz in MitteThe owners opened up a new space this year to deal with the demand, and it is more cozy and not as loud as the one at Rosenthaler Platz. The second Sankt Oberholz is just a stone’s throw away though and is very relaxed. Also, working at Sankt Oberholz may bring you good luck, as it said to be the birthplace of some big internet startups.

Kaffeemitte, Mitte

Kaffeemitte is an oldie but a goodie in Berlin. It can get busy during peak hours, but afternoon and mornings are quiet and cozy. The cafe has great cheesecake and the Milchcafe is delicious too. A lot of Berliners enjoy the coffee here, and they have a reliable Wi-Fi connection to work.

Michelberger Hotel, Friedrichshain

Directly on Warschauer Strasse, the Michelberger Hotel is one of the go-to spots for the city’s musicians and a great place to work for people looking to be surrounded by inspiring talent. The hotel lobby bar also offers delicious snacks and have a great restaurant for more formal meetings or a a drink after a busy working day.
