As the warm weather finally arrives, it’s finally time for a return of Freiluftkino season! For the unacquainted, a Freiluftkino (literally ‘fresh air cinema’) is an outdoor cinema where guests can stretch out on deck chairs or over blankets and watch films. Omer Fast’s first feature film, an adaptation of the Tom McCarthy novel, tells the story of a young man waking from a coma £8.5 million richer as compensation for memory loss. It is an ideal way to easy yourself into Freiluftkino season; the arthouse films can wait until it’s really hot.
