Oberbaumbrücke is an intriguing cultural spot in Berlin for various reasons. Some see it as just a picturesque bridge, but true Berliners understand its inexorable significance. Apart from its architectural aestheticism, it’s an unofficial playground and passing point of Berlin’s underground zeitgeist. Apart from the usual suspects of squatters, ex-punks, and artist’s existing on their own delineations of the world, there are the club-goers and the hipsters as they waltz from Fshain to Xberg. Now starting on June 5th, it’s turning the entire length of the bridge into an open-air gallery where hundreds of artists from sculptors to painters will display, showcase, and sell their work.
