It’s no secret that Berlin is one of the trendsetting capitals of the world. The word ‘trendsetting’ is used as a departure from inane fluffy tween mags and more in association with innovation and experimentation – two pillars of Berlin’s unspoken doctrine. This festival aims to garner a cross-cultural and interdisciplinary space of designers, both young and old, to investigate what contemporary design really is as well as showcase new products, prototypes and more. In this realm, the potential of contemporary design is given weight as pioneers of the design world both educate, display, and get in dialogue about its boundaries. It’s a way to highlight current developments and partake in understanding design’s trajectory. Check their program for specific players.
