Updated: 7 April 2016
Amy Evans’ original play, The Most Satisfied Town, is brought to life at the English Theater Berlin this April. Evan’s work follows Lawrence, a refugee who arrives in Germany determined to play by the rules. He patiently waits for his asylum application to clear and eventually takes an unpleasant job in the town in which he lives. His new life appears settled, that is until one day when his friend disappears. Suddenly, Lawrence is catapulted into the world of civil rights and is forced to question the norms in the town he was so keen to call home. The play is based on the true story of Oury Jalloh, whose murder in police custody in Dessau sparked an international movement to bring his killers to justice.

📅 From 7 April 2016 Various Dates Available

📍 English Theatre Berlin Fidicinstraße 40, 10965 Berlin
