Updated: 19 May 2016
International Museum Day has been happening for some time now. This 22nd of May, the 39th annual one will take place. Happening in various locations all around Berlin, and Germany, it hopes to garner an understanding of the integral nature of museums in our cultural landscape and to broaden the horizons of their patrons. There are various activities, workshops, lectures, talks, and more occurring on and around that day. Some exhibitions even have special interactions to encourage the viewers to really engage with the cultural environment around them. It’s organized by the International Council of Museums and has a changing theme each year, this one, is ‘museums are a cultural landscape’, which fits perfectly into their rolodex of fun and captivating events and activities.
