After the fantastic success of its first year in Paris, the Afropunk Festival returns for a bigger and badder Round 2! Born in Brooklyn, the festival was originally the brainchild of a youth collective who in 2000 sought a stage upon which to celebrate Afro-American culture through music, food, photography and fashion. In true Millennial spirit, the festival transcends genres and brings together avant-garde artists representing soul, indie rock, electro, hip-hop, pop and more. Some of this year’s highlights include Sky and Ross from Morcheeba, Angel Haze, Project Black Pantera, and Samm Henshaw.
