Dip in for drinks in one of Paris’ most vibrant neighborhoods at Brasserie Barbès. The building is a striking work of masterful renovation: expansive gleaming windows open up into an airy and luminous interior, crisply reminiscent of the 1930s. The brasserie’s opening scandalized Paris as the gateway to the neighborhood’s gentrification, but that hasn’t stopped it barrelling towards popularity with the young out-and-about crowd. The place may be brimming with BOBOs, but skip the overpriced dinner downstairs and head to the dance floor upstairs or the rooftop deck for some great views of the Louxor Theatre across the metro tracks.
