Updated: 30 March 2016
This 42-kilometer race around Paris is one of the largest marathons in the world. It’s not hard to imagine why; the route of the race winds throughout all of Paris, bypassing many famous landmarks along the way. According to the sponsors of the marathon, Schneider Electric, nearly 60,000 runners from 145 different nationalities participate in the annual race. In addition to the race, don’t forget to check out the Salon du Running, taking place three days before the marathon at the Porte de Versailles. According to the organizers of the Salon, there will be nutrition and coaching specialists at the event, along with the industry’s leading apparel companies, and there will even be a track set up inside to test out your new gear! This is the largest exhibition dedicated to a sporting discipline in the world, so if you are an athlete, you can’t miss it!
