Explore The World Of Ceramics At The Maison Rouge And The Cité De La Céramique

Picture of Culture Trip
Updated: 27 May 2016
Ceramix is a fantastic exhibition held both at the Maison Rouge foundation for contemporary art and the Cité de la Céramique museum in Sèvres. It covers 150 years of artistic creation on ceramics, from 19th century precursors such as Rodin and Gauguin to contemporary artists Ai Weiwei or Bita Fayyazi.
An incredible selection of works by Picasso, Dufy, Derain, Miró leads to modern avant-gardes represented by Lucio Fontana, the Japanese Sodeisha movement, American artist Robert Arneson or Italian artist Luigi Ontani.
Ceramics have been a tool of expression of all major modern artistic movements, and are a beautiful testimony of our art history.
