Disquaire Day, or Record Store Day in English, will take place on April 16th in France. Over 200 independent record stores in 90 French cities are active participants in the festivities, and, of course, there will be plenty going on in Paris! Participating stores will have many different events going on for Disquaire Day, such as mini-concerts, book signings, and exhibitions. The stores will also have limited edition and signed vinyls for sale. Disquaire Day not only celebrates famous and well-established musicians but also spotlights young and up-and-coming artists as well. American heavy metal group Metallica is responsible for organizing Disquaire Day 2016, and to honor of the victims of the November 13, 2015 Paris attacks, they will be releasing an album called Liberté, Egalité, Fraternité, which was recorded at the Bataclan in 2003. So, head to your local record store on April 16th to see what they will do to celebrate Disquaire Day 2016!
