Bordeaux is known for its neoclassical beauty but there are many other ways to explore and reveal the city’s beauty. Culture Trip introduces you to the 11 top tattoo artists you should go to to get a tattoo during your stay. It’s time to get inked!

Maud Dardeau Tatouages

Maud Dardeau was initially a painter and an illustrator and after seven years, becoming a tattoo artist seemed to be a natural path to follow. She perfected her skills with Tin-Tin, an emblematic tattoo artist, developed her tattooing style, and is now well-known known for her impeccable engraving. In her work, you can see the influence of printmaker artists such as Gustave Doré and Albrecht Dürer. If you’d like to benefit from Maud’s mastery, you will have to wait a bit, as her agenda is booked until June 2018.

Tetrodon Tattoo

Before settling in Bordeaux, Toni Lou, the genius artist working at Tetrodon Tattoo, has been traveling all over the world in order to master her craft. She has a preference for neo-traditional tattoos and her themes of predilection are animals, pin-ups, lettering, and realism. The studio regularly hosts guest artists and you can see some of their creations on the studio’s Instagram account: @tetrodontattoo.

Noir d’Encre

Each piece created in the Noir d’Encre studio is the result of a long conversation between Birdy Owen and her clients in order to define their tastes and needs. Each tattoo is unique (that is also true for the flash tattoos) and Birdy’s linework is extremely precise as she works with only one needle. It would be very hard to find a more meticulous artist in town. You are in excellent hands with her.
