Welcome to Copenhagen’s Meatpacking District, the place where pink neon signs brighten the nights, popular DJs spread their tunes and booze never runs out. Tourists always come back and Copenhageners have at least one crazy story to tell from a night out in the area’s bars. Which place will be the setting for your story?

1. Jolene Bar

Bar, Danish, European, Beer

With live concerts, upbeat DJ Sets and its monthly gay events, Jolene knows how to get Copenhageners to leave their couches and hit the dance floor every week from Thursday to Sunday. The neon pink signs along with the sparkling disco balls hanging from the ceiling hint that Jolene isn’t a place for a relaxed night out. The offbeat bar attracts a mixed and large crowd that never leaves the place before closing time.

2. NOHO

Bar, Restaurant, Cafe, European

NOHO is one of those places that when you step in for the first time you just can’t stop looking at the interior design. Classy furniture, impressive chandeliers, peculiar paintings on the walls plus the pink-coloured plants on the ceiling create a classy but at the same time unpretentious atmosphere. And that’s only one of the reasons locals head to NOHO for an early drink during weekdays, on a Saturday night out or even for a laid-back Sunday brunch. The top-notch cocktails, gourmet snacks and late-night parties attract customers as well.

3. WarPigs

Bar, Gastropub, American, Danish, Pub Grub

The American brewery 3 Floyds and the Danish brewery Mikkeller joined forces to create the ultimate space for all those who know how to appreciate a glass of quality beer plus an authentic Texas barbecue. At noon you’ll see people from surrounding work places taking a break at WarPig’s stands by the windows while tables get reserved from early evening. Beer never runs out here but food does. So if you want to taste a meal from the chef that has cooked for Slipknot and Van Halen, make sure to head in early.

5. Mesteren & Lærlingen

Bar, Bodega, Danish, European, Pub Grub

Mesteren & Lærlingen is Meatpacking district’s oldest bodega. And like in every bodega that respects itself, the beers are cheap, the atmosphere is cosy and the smell of smoke lingers in the air. The clientele runs the gamut from students to 60-year-old locals and stylish Bohemians in their 30s. A great place for mingling with locals while sharing one of the outdoors wooden tables.

6. KB18

Bar, Nightclub, Danish, European

KB18 is an underground club with graffiti-painted walls and a small wooden stage where live concerts and DJ sets take place all year round. Known among the city’s night owls and music lovers as the place to head for a night filled with good music and dancing until the early morning hours, KB18 often has a long waiting line. But once you enter the place you’ll know it was worth the effort.

7. Noaa CPH

Nightclub, Bar, Danish, European

Noaa CPH, the Meatpacking District’s latest addition, had its opening party in September 2018. Partygoers of all ages welcomed the city’s newest club with all-night-long dancing and several glasses of champagne. Noaa is situated on Kødboderne street in the building that used to house the popular KB3 club.

Since you are here, we would like to share our vision for the future of travel - and the direction Culture Trip is moving in.

Culture Trip launched in 2011 with a simple yet passionate mission: to inspire people to go beyond their boundaries and experience what makes a place, its people and its culture special and meaningful — and this is still in our DNA today. We are proud that, for more than a decade, millions like you have trusted our award-winning recommendations by people who deeply understand what makes certain places and communities so special.

Increasingly we believe the world needs more meaningful, real-life connections between curious travellers keen to explore the world in a more responsible way. That is why we have intensively curated a collection of premium small-group trips as an invitation to meet and connect with new, like-minded people for once-in-a-lifetime experiences in three categories: Culture Trips, Rail Trips and Private Trips. Our Trips are suitable for both solo travelers, couples and friends who want to explore the world together.

Culture Trips are deeply immersive 5 to 16 days itineraries, that combine authentic local experiences, exciting activities and 4-5* accommodation to look forward to at the end of each day. Our Rail Trips are our most planet-friendly itineraries that invite you to take the scenic route, relax whilst getting under the skin of a destination. Our Private Trips are fully tailored itineraries, curated by our Travel Experts specifically for you, your friends or your family.

We know that many of you worry about the environmental impact of travel and are looking for ways of expanding horizons in ways that do minimal harm - and may even bring benefits. We are committed to go as far as possible in curating our trips with care for the planet. That is why all of our trips are flightless in destination, fully carbon offset - and we have ambitious plans to be net zero in the very near future.
