Copenhagen, the vibrant capital of Denmark, isn’t just famous for its stunning architecture and picturesque canals – it’s also a hub for innovation and entrepreneurial spirit. Over the past few years, Copenhagen‘s startup scene has been developing extensively, and many of the city’s new and successful entrepreneurs have chosen to house their offices in co-working spaces. This way, not only do they get to use innovative, and usually stylish, work spaces, they also get to become members of a large and inspiring creative community. Culture Trip gives you a virtual tour of the top co-working spaces in Copenhagen, where modern design meets functionality.

Nomad Workspace

Nomad Workspace

Embracing the elegant simplicity of Scandinavian design Nomad Workspace is one of the most stylish co-working spaces in Copenhagen. Private offices, as well as common areas and meeting rooms, are provided to workspace members, travelers in need of an office away from home and transients who just want to spend a day at work in style.

Republikken

With five meeting rooms, including one conference space, 23 private offices, a huge common workspace and a laser cutting workshop, Republikken fits the needs of any company or self-employed person. Aspiring entrepreneurs, freelance journalists, students; anybody who enjoys working in a quiet and warm environment surrounded by other inspirational people can drop by and enjoy a comfortable atmosphere and warm coffee for DKK15 (US $2,37) per hour. Those who prefer a private office should join the Republikken community, which now consists of 150 members.

Rainmaking Loft

Rainmaking Loft has housed more than 300 entrepreneurs in its elegant buildings in Copenhagen, London and Berlin. The 3000-square-meter building, close to Copenhagen’s harbor, is home to many successful startups, offering them the proper environment and the necessary amenities for a productive day at work. Prices start from DKK150 (US $23,69) for a day pass and go up to DKK12,000 (US $1894,78) for team rooms that can host from four to 12 people. Each of its four floors offers lounge zones ideal for a break, while the Game Zone is a room rarely seen empty.

Founders House

Founders House

Founders House was awarded as the Best Coworking Space at the Nordic Startup Awards in 2017 and has been included more than three times in The Nordic 100 lists with the most influential people and organizations in the Nordic startup ecosystem. Functioning as a co-working space for the last seven years, Founders House has developed a great community that consists of 150 entrepreneurs and more than 40 startups, plus 500 people who house their offices in the Startup Village, the largest startup hub in the Nordics. Now the community is about to get bigger, as Founders House recently merged with the Oslo-based co-working space Mesh, now offering its members a combined office space of 6700 square meters (72,120 square feet).

Copenhagen FinTech Lab

Fintech Lab

Copenhagen FinTech Lab celebrated its first birthday this October and the stats show that it’s been a great year. All of the co-working space’s 145 seats are occupied, while 47 startups are signed in and there are already 160 tech companies in the network. Located by the waterfront at Christianshavn canals, FinTech Lab offers offices with a great view of one of the city’s most beautiful neighborhoods. The members of the Copenhagen FinTech Lab have the chance to work alongside entrepreneurs from all over the world, as they have free access to Innovation Center Denmark in Silicon Valley, Rainmaking Loft London, and FinTech hubs in Oslo, Helsinki and Stockholm.

SOHO

Nestled in the hip Meatpacking District, SOHO lives up to the area’s standards and offers a fashionable, industrial-style working place for companies and freelancers. Aside for the common and private working areas, SOHO offers unique, themed rooms for meetings and workshops. Some prefer the Library Room, with the Chesterfield-style armchairs and classic wooden tables, while others prefer to hold a meeting in the exotic Bali Space or the industrial-decorated Container.

Rocket Labs

Rocket Labs

Every day, Rocket Labs welcomes young professionals and companies to its cozy place in Nørrebro, one of Copenhagen’s coolest neighborhoods. There are private offices, a large common workspace and meeting rooms available all day long during both the week and the weekends. After a hard day of work, Rocket Labs’ members have the chance to relieve stress at NOR, a health house situated just above the working space, where yoga and dance classes, body treatments as well as health checks and psychotherapy take place.

5teSTED

It was approximately eight years ago when Mikkel Küster and Britt Christiansen decided to expand the co-working space they ran at the time and rent the 2000-square-meter (21,527-square-foot) building that now houses 5teSTED. With more than 50 companies from different sectors, 5teSTED’s community includes accounting firms, PR companies, graphic designers and more. Creating a friendly and relaxed atmosphere for their members is one of the most significant goals for the people behind 5teSTED. So, they make sure to also plan special activities and events that help members recharge their batteries. Among others, yoga classes on Tuesdays and skiing expeditions take place throughout the year and, even though they’re not mandatory, no one seems willing to miss out.
