If you are interested in human rights and are also a movie fan, this unique film festival is a must. Human rights initiative One World
(part of the wider People In Need organization), will host its annual Human Rights Documentary Film Festival in Prague, but will be screening 14 films from this year’s edition in Brussels. The first movie No Man is an Island, directed by Belgian director Tim De Keersmaecker, will be shown in Bozar on April 18th at 8pm. This particular film tells the story of Adam and Omar, two refugees who are trying to navigate their new life on the island of Lampedusa.
Screening locations include the European Parliament, the Representation of Norway to EU, and many others. After each screening, a discussion will follow that intends to address the themes in each film. The festival is also a competition and the winning movie, chosen by the jury, will be announced on the last day.
