The Brussels commune of Jette truly is a champion at getting its population together and creating a sense of community. Aside from the many outdoor markets inhabitants get their groceries at, the annual evening of jazz is another cultural highlight. Come June, over 60 musicians will fill the streets and 12 bars with their soulful tunes. Live performances are expected from hallmark artists such as Tuur Florizoone (who composed the dreamy soundtrack for the 2008 film Moscow, Belgium) and The Laurent Doumant Soul Quartet, as well as from all sorts of bands (big, brass, and other).
