Get A Rare Bird’s View Of Mexico City At Le Botanique

Picture of Culture Trip
Updated: 3 July 2016
Pablo López Luz knows like no other that Mexico City is a metropolis bursting out of its seams. A part of Brussels’ Summer of Photography, his exhibition at Le Botanique shows a wide variety of views on his birth town with one fixed characteristic: they have all been taken from up above. By offering a perspective not available to those roaming around its streets, López Luz sheds new light on the city’s enormity. Its struggle to keep up with a rapidly expanding population has resulted in a chaotic landscape and a lack of decent infrastructure. Urbanites find food for thought in this exhibition showcasing the challenges our megacities face today and the troubles that accompany explosive growth.
