Last summer they invited you to connect with friends, neighbors and strangers by eating together at one of the red tables strategically placed all over the European Quarter. This year, European Canteen is taking it a step further by asking you to cook together as well. All about creating a sense of community and improving the quality of life in the neighborhood, European Cooking will host workshops on summer evenings in July. On Wednesdays an engaged chef will pick a dish typical to a specific country and guide you through the process of making it in the charming outdoor cooking lab at Place Jean Rey, built just for the occasion. Two gigantic custom made barbeques and an aromatic herb garden will make sure that you’ll end up with a meal worth bonding over.
