There are several talented and creative fashion designers from Costa Rica. For such a small country, there is actually a sizable fashion scene, especially in San Jose. There are designers of luxuriously crafted handbags, nature-inspired jewelry, head-turning couture, modern-chic everyday wear, elegant dresses, loud print and fabulously fun suits, stunning swimwear, and everything in between. The famous designers of Costa Rica are in the same ranks as far as creativity and wow-factor as the famous fashion designers from New York, London, and Paris. Here’s a look at some of the best in Costa Rican fashion.

Jennifer Lang

Jennifer Lang was originally a high-powered attorney in Costa Rica, who left the corporate world to pursue her true creative passions, which involved handbags and fashion. She created her brand, J.Lang, which is a sophisticated and modern-chic bag, accessories, and jewelry company. Her designs are beautiful works of art. She uses high-end leathers and fabrics, and bold and natural color palettes. She has been featured in Vogue and InStyle magazines, as well as a part of Fashion Week in San Jose, among multiple other international recognitions.
