It is the most wonderful time of the year again! And no, we do not mean Christmas (although that is pretty great as well). Christmas is not necessarily celebrated here in the Land of Smiles, but that does not mean that the month of December is going to be anything short of exciting. Here is our calendar full of things to do during the month of December.

FOOD | Dive Into Delicious Seafood

📅 Thursday, December 1st

Man Fu Yuan is showcasing their brand new à la carte menu titled Sea Crab Dishes Galore. It is available from now until Saturday, December 31st. Some of the dishes include baked sea crab with ‘Chang’ beer and glass noodles as well as a braised sea crab with rice vermicelli. Be sure to check out the new menu before it goes.

CONCERT | Enjoy Listening To The Replica Of Your Favorite Artists

📅 Friday, December 2nd

Enjoy one too many cover bands live at Sound Space #2. The second edition of this live music event is bringing back an abundance of bands who sound just like their original counterparts. Some of the cover bands will be playing songs from artists including Oasis, Foo Fighters, Blink 182, Arctic Monkeys, and Radiohead. The show starts at 7:30 p.m.

FESTIVAL | Dance The Night Away At Bangkok’s Coolest Club

Beam, a nightclub providing club-goers with remarkable music experiences nightly, will be holding BEAMFEST this December. With over 20 international artists, 40 local artists, and 30 collaborations, this is one event you can not miss. This Bangkok urban music festival will take place over two consecutive weekends.

Support locals at the Bangkok Farmers’ Market at W-District, a lifestyle and art mall off Sukhumvit Road. W-District is one of the most up and coming hot spots in the city, attracting crowds with the lure of cheap drinks and a surplus of good eats. In addition to the usual shops and restaurants, the Bangkok Farmers’ Market at W-District will have handmade jewelry, workshops, organic produce, kids activities, and even live music.

MUSIC | Get Down To Some Indie Rock

Yo La Tengo will be playing at the Singha Light Live Series at Voice Space, as the fourth and last show of the series. Yo La Tengo is an indie rock band originating from New Jersey. The show will be held from 10 p.m. until midnight.

RUN | Honor Thailand’s Late King

📅 Monday, December 5th

The king of Thailand, King Bhumibol Adulyadej, passed away on October 13, 2016. In honor of the late king, many people will be making their way to the Run for King 2016. The race begins at 6 a.m. in Lumpini Park.

FESTIVAL | Get Your Controllers Ready For This Year’s Game Show Festival

Gamers unite for the Thailand Game Show Big Festival 2016. This year, the festival will be held at Siam Paragon, located in the heart of Bangkok. The festival will take place from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. for the duration of the weekend.

Indy Pop Concert have invited Anti-Flag to Bangkok to play at the Rock Pub. Joey The Gangster will be joining Anti-Flag for this epic show, as well. Anti-Flag is an American punk band from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The show will start at 7 p.m.

‘The War Is On’ is a rap competition that is in its third season. The live, final audition will take place at the Suan Lum Night Bazaar. Rap Is Now is Thailand’s leading hip hop platform; they received 1,142 audition videos before narrowing it down to the 32 hopeful rappers who will be performing. The audition will start at 5 p.m. and end at 11:30 p.m.
