It’s no secret Bangkok in Thailand has a wealth of chic hotels, but if you’re looking for a home from home, you’re in luck . Holiday rental options range from serviced apartments – often with access to a pool and fitness centre – to artsy condos and homes. They’re all conveniently located in the centre of the city – and bookable with Culture Trip.

1. Sathorn Vista, Bangkok – Marriott Executive Apartments

Rental apartments don’t come much more swish (or better located) than this. Choose from one-, two-, or three-bedroom suites, all with open-plan layout, treacle-coloured floorboards and chic furnishings and lighting. Bathrooms, big enough to get lost in, come with marble-surround baths and kitchens are so slick you’ll be tempted to eat in. You also have access to a pool, fitness centre and children’s play area.

2. Urbana Sathorn Bangkok, Thailand

Sleek, stylish and sophisticated: these one-, two-, and three-bedroom apartments deliver on form and function. Wood floors, floor-to-ceiling windows and glossy, glass-topped furniture add urban modernity. If you can tear yourself away from the dreamy interior, there’s a squash court and indoor gym to get the blood pumping and a communal pool to cool off in afterwards. Located in the city centre, you’re moments from Bangkok’s must-see sights.

3. Grand Asoke Residence Sukhumvit

If you like your holiday home to have hotel slick, then these centrally-located one-bedroom suites could be for you. Furbished in dark wood and shades of cream, the interiors have bags of style. Suites have a balcony overlooking an outdoor pool (which you have access to) and you’ll have a pass to use the on-site sauna, too.

5. Amanta Hotel & Residence Ratchada

These one- and two-bedroom suites provide a stylish and comfortable base in a less-visited corner of Bangkok. A palette of creams, blacks and caramels creates a chic canvas for the simple, stylish furniture. There’s a full-sized kitchen and dining area and you’ll have access to a pool for when you want to unwind. If you’re feeling peckish, there’s a night market serving sizzling snacks nearby.

6. Aspira Residence Ruamrudee

This residence offers a comfortable, stylish and stripped-back base from which to explore the city. The apartments, which range from studios to two-beds, fuse functional furniture with useful amenities and subtle design touches. There’s also a small fitness centre and laundry room. Public transportation is close by which means you can travel into the city centre easily.

7. L.A. Residence 49

For shameless decadence, look no further than L.A. Residence 49. This palatial, one-bedroom apartment, clad almost floor-to-ceiling in rich wood panelling, has antique-style furniture and classy design touches. A rooftop plunge pool, small fitness centre and sauna will no doubt lure you out of your room, while the stylish kitchen will call you back.

8. Nav1 Maestro 19 Ratchada Residence

Head to Bangkok’s northern suburbs for the one and two-bedroom suites at Nav1 Maestro 19 Ratchada Residence. Rooms, decked out in slate greys, cream and black, feel sophisticated and modern. There’s an inviting pool, a fitness centre and lots of greenery around the complex. Shopping addicts will appreciate the location near the weekend market.

9. Quiet poolside villa

Villa

You don’t need to go to the beach resorts of Koh Samui or Phuket to enjoy some poolside rest and relaxation. This traditional Thai wooden villa, that resembles a temple with its sloped gabled roof, offers a great-value stay. It features an open-air kitchen (stocked with some basics) downstairs and a swimming pool. Set in a private gated community, it’s a quiet escape from the city but you’ll need to take taxis or motorbikes to travel into the centre as it’s quite far out.

10. A traditional shophouse residence

Apartment

This apartment is named Ba Hao (house number eight), which means you’re in luck if you secure a booking in this renovated 40-year-old traditional Chinese shophouse residence, as eight is considered an auspicious number in Chinese culture. Three apartments are located upstairs from the bohemian Ba Hao Chinese bar. The fourth-floor room, decked out in a mix of old-school Thai and hipster Chinese decor, features a balcony and a bird’s-eye view of the temple Wat Traimit. There’s a shared lounge with a TV and Netflix and complimentary Thai breakfast. It isn’t cheap, but it’s classy and unique.
