Are you passionate about the lindy hop? Can you not sit still whenever your favorite beat is on? Fret not, as there are plenty of studios in Bangkok where you can get your groove on. From evenings spent swinging the night away to courses on learning how to tap dance, here are the city’s five best dance studios.

1. The Hop Bangkok

School

Bangkok has become a utopia for swing dancers from around the world, all because of one dance studio: The Hop. This studio is home to Bangkok’s large swing community. The Hop opened on October 27, 2012, and this dance studio has been turning heads and attracting some big crowds for its social nights ever since. The Hop is a space that encourages everyone to pursue and embrace art. This studio also offers a wide variety of workshops on top of their dance courses, such as a musical theater workshop for kids. If you have the time, we highly suggest taking one of The Hop’s month-long lindy hop courses. It is here you will get your groove on and meet some amazing, like-minded dancers as well as build a global community with your fellow swing dancers. You will find The Hop’s dance studio just a short walk from the BTS Skytrain station Chong Nonsi.

Bangkok Dance Academy

There is a class for everyone at the Bangkok Dance Academy. Some of the classes that this academy offers include jazz, ballet, contemporary dance, street dance, hip-hop, Thai dance, and many more. The Bangkok Dance Academy has been in Bangkok for a while now, having opened back in 1996. If you are serious about your dancing skills and want to pursue a professional dancing career, the Bangkok Dance Academy also offers dance classes in higher education, specifically in ballet.
