Opening at 11 am each morning, Jim Thompson Café 9 could be a great brunch stop if you want to also browse a range of fine Thai silks. It’s an elegant eatery in its own right. The menu has a wide selection of Western fare and Thai favourites, and all dishes are beautifully presented to please the eyes as well as the stomach. Specialising in jok, a porridge-like rice soup dish, it may only do one main thing but it does it well. Extras include minced pork, pork balls, offal, and egg.
