Updated: 6 November 2016
From Sukhumvit to Silom to the many sois (streets) of Bangkok, Thailand is teeming with streets worthy of exploring. While visitors to the Kingdom might not be able to put on their best pair of walking shoes and trek the entirety of the country, Thai street style and fashion photographers are taking their cameras and providing us with the next best alternative: their stunning photographs. Whether you are a fashionista or a traveler at heart, these Thai street style and fashion photographers are sure to keep you captivated with their works of art. Here are the top photographers worth checking out.

Apichet ‘Madaew’ Atilattana

Apichet ‘Madaew’ Atilattana started posting photos of his unique, handmade designs in early 2015. This teenager, hailing from Khon Kaen, already has a foothold in the fashion photography industry, with over 55,000 followers on his Instagram account. The images are actually taken by his friends and family, as Madaew poses for the camera in some of the most obscure places in even stranger outfits. From trash bags to tires to twigs, there isn’t anything Madaew can not turn into a fashionable piece of art.

David Terrazas Morales

David Terrazas Morales is a professional, freelance photographer based in Bangkok. He specializes in portrait, travel and fashion photography. Morales studied photography at the Pamplona School of Art in Spain for two years, before continuing his education in graphic design at the Institute IEFPS Mendizabala. His photos are captivating and unique, with subjects from all walks of life, which is incredibly refreshing considering the lack of diversity in today’s fashion industry.

Maya

Maya is a photographer based in the south of Thailand, most often calling the islands of Phuket and Koh Lipe home. In addition to candid shots of friends, Maya specializes in wedding photography, with stunning photos on the breathtaking beaches of southern Thailand.

Tavepong Pratoomwong

Tavepong Pratoomwong’s love for photography began when he started studying at Rangsit University, one of the leading private universities in Thailand. It was not until 2013 that his love for photography hit a turning point of sorts, when his wife purchased him a ticket to Varanasi, India. When he returned from his inspirational journey, he immediately joined the Street Photo Thailand group, ‘365 days in 2014.’

He was taking photos every day, and he has since joined two other photographic collectives, including Full Frontal Flash and Observe Collective. Observe Collective is a group primarily focused on practicing candid street photography, and Full Frontal Flash is a street photography collective that shares a love for flash and street photography.

Nat Prakobsantisuk

Nat Prakobsantisuk is well known for his fashion photography. As a former fashion stylist, he always had an eye for this work, and updated his job description from stylist to photographer. He left his role as a stylist and took up photography at the London College of Printing in the early 1990s. Since then, he has become one of the most in-demand freelance photographers at Asian magazines, and his work has been featured in a number of fashion and leisure magazines, such as Marie Claire and Elle.
