A night out in the City of Angels is sure to drain even the most careful budgeters of a few too many baht. However, ladies spending time in Thailand’s capital will be happy to hear that there are a handful of venues that host epic ladies’ nights. Put your wallets away as we roll out a woman’s guide to drinking for free in Bangkok.
Witch's Oyster Bar & Restaurant

There are a few too many reasons to love red wine: it has fewer calories per glass than other types of booze, is filled with antioxidants, and is just plain delicious. Hold onto your hats (or purses) ladies, because Witch’s Oyster Bar & Restaurant pours red and white wine all night, absolutely free for women. The best part about this already spectacular deal is that it happens on hump day, the dreaded Wednesday that every working person struggles to get through, so that free drink at the end of the day is that much more enjoyable.

If wine is not your thing (or you are a man), this restaurant has a menu stacked with Western cuisine, including delicious seafood. Those who can’t make Wednesday’s shindigs should instead check out Witch’s Sports Tavern, a few doors down from Witch’s Oyster Bar & Restaurant. They have the same exact deal on Thursdays.

CÉ LA VI is one of the most noteworthy clubs in Bangkok. It is both glamorous and luxurious, which is one of the reasons why ladies on a tight budget tend to steer clear of this epic nightlife venue. Not anymore, thanks to ladies’ night at CÉ LA VI. Every Wednesday, women can enjoy free-flow sparkling wine from 9 pm to midnight, some 39 stories up. Some of the best DJs in the capital play here, so taking to the dance floor only gets easier a few free drinks in.

This beer bar serves from 13 rotating taps. While the beer is not free, 50 percent off their class taps for women on Wednesdays is not too shabby. The bar and seating area glow with dark accents, giving the venue a stylish and modern vibe. The only way to enjoy this luxurious decor is with a glass of sparkling wine in tow, of course. Women enjoy free flow every Thursday night from 7:30 pm to 9:30 pm. Woo Bar offers the same promotion to men on Wednesday nights. Bangkok’s pub scene is thriving as it is home to so many expats hailing from pub-going countries like England and Australia. Women can enjoy free Mai Tais — a delicious combination of lime, pineapple, and orange juice mixed with rum and more. The pub also has an extensive menu, with favorites including classic fish and chips (฿345/US$10) and traditional Thai dishes like som tam (฿95/$2.75), papaya salad.
