Instagram is one of the most popular and influential social media platforms in the world, and the go-to place for fashionistas, bloggers and photographers who want to share their #ootd snaps with their adoring fans. Here’s a selection of 10 of the top influencers to follow on instagram for style inspiration in the Lion City.

Viola Tan

One of the 3 founding members of Singaporean clothing line Love Bonito. These gals are Singaporean fashion icons, often creating the clothes that become the most popular on the island. Viola describes her style as classically sophisticated with accents of edgy glamor, often inspired by the cultures and locals she meets while she travels.

Rachel Lim

Another founding member of the Love Bonito team, Rachel’s style is a bit edgier compared to the Tan sisters. Her signature style combines elegant, simple pieces with vibrant, statement jewelry. Lim recently got married, so you can enjoy the added bonus of an IG feed full of gorgeous shots of her dress, flat lays from the wedding and the breath-taking outdoor beach-front Bali venue!

Drea Chong

Drea Chong certainly keeps busy as she finishes up her undergrad at NYU, running a fashion blog and a digital advertising agency. Drea Chong first came into the public eye as a model and host of ClickNetwork’s That F Word show. She describes her style as a big mix of casual, girl-next-door, edgy and sophisticated with influences coming from an international array of fashion magazines. One of her major draws is her goal to show that fashion needn’t always be expensive, but rather the key to looking stylish is confidence.

Nellie Lim

Nellie Lim’s IG is not just about fashion, but also filled with food and lifestyle photography. Her account is characterised by colorful accents in every shot, whether it’s from her clothes or her skill at scoping out the best #ootd backgrounds all around Singapore. Follow her to enjoy a slice of Singaporean life as she visits Singapore’s hipster cafés, explores great neighborhoods, or just unwinds over the weekend.

Nicole Wong

Nicole Wong has quickly become a fashion icon in Singapore with her complete espousal of a punk-rock, edgy vibe. In her leather jackets, Converse shoes and 90s inspired chokers, Nicole Wong is about the least girly-girl fashion icon you will find. Be inspired by her cropped hair that often has flairs of colour that nicely complement her otherwise monochromatic style.

Elaine Jasmine

Elaine is pretty much the exact opposite of Nicole Wong. An adorable girly-girl through and through, her fashion staples are bright colors, soft pastels, flare skirts and sun-dresses. Although she has stepped away from Singapore’s intense fashion scene to focus on herself, she is still well-loved for her honesty and candidness as well as the adorable pictures she posts with her boyfriend.

Tammy Tay

Proving that the IG world isn’t just reserved for teenagers, Tammy got into the blog game early when she started her fashion blog Oh So Fickle way back in 2007. Tammy’s style is very playful, effortless and casual. She has become an inspiration to moms around the city as proof that motherhood does not need to be the end of looking glamorous. Her style influences come from everywhere and anywhere which means you are just as likely to see her looking classy and sophisticated one day, as being vintage-inspired and edgy the next. Her motto is dare to be different, because it is so important to stand out from a crowd.

Brenda Ng

Brenda’s style is often monochromatic and always ultra minimalist-chic, something that is very clear from her IG feed which is all clean lines and carefully composed flat lays. Her outfits are always elegant looking, almost exclusively in blacks and whites that give her a contemporary, classic look. Her inspiration comes from a number of fashion blogs, but mostly she just looks at what’s in her closet and goes from there. According to Brenda, the keys to looking stylish come down to cute shoes, a great haircut and a killer attitude.

If I were a fighter this would be my combat outfit.

Half the duo that run fashion and lifestyle blog wit&folly, Si Pe’s fashion is characterized by girly florals, daring, sheer textures blended with the classic looks of cool pastels. Follow her account and live vicariously through her and be inspired for your #relationshipgoals and #travelgoals.
