Ashna Khan

Based in Lahore, Ashna Khan is certainly one to watch. The photographer specialises in dramatic poses of models and the striking juxtapositions of individuals and their backgrounds. His keen eye allows for the intricate designs of clothes to take the spotlight, often marrying the pieces with natural surroundings, to great effect. Throughout, a sense of movement is key.

Fayyaz Ahmed

Fayyaz Ahmed has been nominated for Best Fashion Photographer at the Lux Style Awards six years in a row, and most recently won the Pakistan Media Award for his stand-out fashion photography. Ahmed is said to have pioneered outdoor lighting for fashion shoots in Pakistan, and his work conveys a sense of movement and vitality of the clothes within natural environments.

Tapu Javeri

A leading fashion photographer, Tapu Javeri is also one of Pakistan’s most famous radio DJs at City FM 89. His photography spans catwalk shows and magazine editorials, as well as special Instagram-based series such as his #sunsetpictures. Javeri’s work has already been featured in some of Pakistan’s leading fashion publications, including DIVA magazine and She Magazine.

Shahroz Hyder

Although he photographs a range of subjects, what sets photographer Shahroz Hyder apart is his approach to wedding photography and bridal wear. Hyder’s lens focusses on the candid moments of a wedding, and on intricate details of the clothes. His unique lens ensures that photographs feel natural and spontaneous instead of stylised and kitsch. Alongside brides and grooms, Hyder also uses street photography to convey a powerful sense of place, and most recently has shot the Saira Shakira‘s Eid campaign.

Sadia Khan

Owner of the coveted title: ‘first Pakistani to photograph a Hollywood actor’, London – based Khan shot Mark Ruffalo in 2015 when he was promoting HULK. She has also photographed leading talent from India and Pakistan, including Imran Khan, Shah Rukh Khan, Nargis Fakhri, Abhishek and David Hayes. Alongside her notable portraits, Sadia has an extensive portfolio of fashion photography and styling.
