Boardwalk

In the busy area of Brickfields, some serenity can be found at Boardwalk, the poolside restaurant on the eighth floor of the Hilton Hotel. Head over for a drink and relax in the luxurious open-air poolside dining area with their extensive range of fresh juices, cocktails and beers. The restaurant serves international and local cuisines, from burgers, sandwiches and salads to satay and grills. The wonderful view from the eighth floor gives guests a chance to look out onto Kuala Lumpur’s Lake Gardens and the Kuala Lumpur City Center.

Prime Steak Restaurant

Le Meriden Hotel, in Brickfields, is extremely proud of its Prime Steak Restaurant, which has won several local awards. The restaurant serves up generous portions, making it popular with families, and their candlelit atmosphere makes the venue wonderful for a romantic night out. The steaks are imported from around the world and range from bone-in cuts to slabs of different gradients; the chefs focus on bringing out the natural flavors in the meat with some skilled cooking. Taj Garden Restaurant

Tucked away from the urban chaos of Brickfields, the Taj Garden Restaurant offers authentic north Indian cuisine. Here, diners can dig into paneer, naan or chicken curry all seasoned with spices and herbs to create fiery flavors. The restaurant can accommodate large groups and there is also an al fresco dining section for a casual and relaxing ambience. Ozen Zanmai

At Ozen Zanmai, customers can choose from a long list of sushi, donburi, noodles, tempura and grilled vegetables and meats. Located in the Nu Sentral shopping mall, the restaurant also offers a monthly promotional menu serving up some of the freshest salmon and sushi in the area. Moorthy’s Mathai Restaurant

Moorthy’s Mathai Restaurant is well frequented for its delicious cuisine but, even more so, for its banana leaf rice. Diners can dig into some boiled white rice on a banana leaf and choose from different vegetable dishes, salads, curry dishes and chutneys to create an ensemble. They also have the best-selling tenggiri in the area, a  narrow-barred Spanish mackerel dish. For dessert, indulge in some roti kaya, a delicious flatbread with huge amounts of coconut jam and a heap of condensed milk.

Iketeru

Iketeru, in the Hilton Hotel, provides a serene ambience of stone pathways lined with bamboo, lanterns, and a manmade pond creating a garden-like exterior. Have a seat in one of their many tatami rooms and treat yourself to a wide range of sushi, sashimi and teppanyaki from the Japanese chef. The bento sets come highly recommended so that guests can taste an array of things from the delicious menu by ordering just one set.

Annalakshmi

After a visit to the Temple of Fine Arts, head over to Annalakshmi, an Indian restaurant that aims to uphold the tradition of Indian home cooking. Mercat Barcelona Gastrobar

Transporting Barcelona’s foodie scene to Kuala Lumpur, Mercat Barcelona Gastrobar was opened by two Spaniards who wanted to bring the best of tapas culture to Kuala Lumpur.
