Le Meriden Hotel, in Brickfields, is extremely proud of its Prime Steak Restaurant, which has won several local awards. The restaurant serves up generous portions, making it popular with families, and their candlelit atmosphere makes the venue wonderful for a romantic night out. The steaks are imported from around the world and range from bone-in cuts to slabs of different gradients; the chefs focus on bringing out the natural flavors in the meat with some skilled cooking. Ozen Zanmai

At Ozen Zanmai, customers can choose from a long list of sushi, donburi, noodles, tempura and grilled vegetables and meats. Moorthy’s Mathai Restaurant

Moorthy’s Mathai Restaurant is well frequented for its delicious cuisine but, even more so, for its banana leaf rice. Diners can dig into some boiled white rice on a banana leaf and choose from different vegetable dishes, salads, curry dishes and chutneys to create an ensemble. They also have the best-selling tenggiri in the area, a narrow-barred Spanish mackerel dish. Iketeru, in the Hilton Hotel, provides a serene ambience of stone pathways lined with bamboo, lanterns, and a manmade pond creating a garden-like exterior. Have a seat in one of their many tatami rooms and treat yourself to a wide range of sushi, sashimi and teppanyaki from the Japanese chef. Transporting Barcelona’s foodie scene to Kuala Lumpur, Mercat Barcelona Gastrobar was opened by two Spaniards who wanted to bring the best of tapas culture to Kuala Lumpur.
