Located on floor 41st of Shinjuku’s Park Hyatt, Peak Lounge & Bar is the perfect choice if you wish to appreciate the Nishi-Shinjuku skyscrapers at nightfall over a fine cocktail. The classy bar is decorated with a sky-lit bamboo garden as the focal piece, with mood lighting and plush seats. A scene from the movie Lost in Translation was shot in this very bar. Don’t miss out on the happy hour from 5pm to 9pm, with free-flowing cocktails and wine, and a canapé buffet. There’s also DJ music from Wednesdays to Saturdays.

Oribe Classic Bar was named after Furuta Oribe, a samurai and master of the tea ceremony. The panoramic view of the Kabukiza Theatre from the seventh floor bar is complemented by great cocktails and tasty dishes. New York Bar & Grill

On the 52nd floor of the same building as Peak Lounge & Bar is the popular New York Grill & Bar. Take in the breathtaking beauty of Tokyo from the floor-to-ceiling glass windows of this trendy establishment. The walls are dressed with four paintings of New York scenes by Italian artist Valerio Adami. The bar has a wine cellar with 1800 bottles of fine wines. Enjoy a classy evening of Japan-New York fusion cuisines prepared by a world class chef and his team, accompanied by some delightful wine.

The Bar is a cozy establishment on the 40th floor of Hotel New Otani that offers a remarkable view of the Tokyo tower in the center of Akasaka city in Chiyoda. The brightly decorated establishment serves a wide variety of beers from around the world along with its famous cocktail delights and a small food menu.

Star Road

If you are looking for one of the best night-time views in Tokyo, then choose Star Road. Located on the 30th floor of the Grand Pacific Le Daiba, Star Road offers an unimpeded view of the Tokyo Tower, the waterfront, the Skytree, the Rainbow Bridge and the towers along the mouth of the Sumida River. There is also a great view of Mount Fuji from the window to the west. Star Road is a great choice for a fun first date.

Sky Lounge Stellar Garden

Located on the 33rd floor of The Prince Park Tower, Sky Lounge Stellar Garden is a hidden gem in Tokyo’s catalog of bars and lounges. The large but cozy establishment can accommodate up to 100 patrons. You will be happy to discover that all of the comfortable bar stools and plush velvety sofas offer a panoramic view of the Tokyo Tower. The friendly staff speak English and are very attentive. Enjoy a cocktails from a list designed to match the seasons or you can order from a variety of whiskeys, martinis and champagnes.

Andaz Tokyo

Andaz Tokyo hotel’s terrace bar is perched on top of the 52nd floor of Toranomon Hills, the second highest building in the capital. Located on the 40th floor of the Cerulean Tower Tokyo Hotel, Bello Visto is worth checking out if you want to gaze at the beautiful sunset over the Tanzawa mountains. Book your seat before 7pm and secure one close to the enormous window, from where you can admire the skyscrapers that meet the towering mountain. Order a glass of wine from their extensive menu.
