If a scenic evening drive along the ECR isn’t romantic enough for you, then stop your car by any of the bylanes towards Akkarai/ECR Beach along Sholinganallur and take a walk to the beach to have an experience unlike any other. Along with a sea breeze in the evening, these empty lanes provide some of the best walking spots for couples at dusk, and courtesy of this have earned the name Lover’s Lanes. There are more than a dozen of these beautiful lanes leading to the beach along ECR, and they hardly ever see any vehicles so there’s space enough for all. But while it’s a great option for a date in the evening, staying long after sundown is not advisable.
