Opened in 2010, On The Go is one of Coimbatore’s most eccentric and contemporary restaurants. Servings are generous and the cocktails are worth a try. Reserve a table before visiting, as the establishment tends to get busy.

Haribhavanam

Established in 1971, Haribhavanam is an iconic restaurant in Coimbatore. Commonly known as Raju Mess among the citizens, it started up with the aim of providing homely food to people who stayed in lodges and hotels. It’s quite popular for its Chettinad fare – which is the regional cuisine. The restaurant interior is huge and can occupy up to 100 people. Visit for regional cuisines and tasty meat-based dishes.

Junior Kuppanna

Junior Kuppanna has its humble beginnings way back in the 1960. The owner, Mr. Kuppanna had only one aim when he opened this restaurant -creating food that is delicious and unique. The restaurant has stayed true to this goal for the last 55 years. The menu is limited, but the food is fantastic; this is a place for those who love their meat and don’t mind sitting in a slightly busier restaurant. Taste their thalis which are filling and extremely delicious.

Venu Biryani

Biryani is an exotic rice dish which uses a variety of spices and meats or vegetables. The dish is loved in India, and one of the best local spots in which to taste it is Venu Biryani. Little Italy is one of the best places in Coimbatore to find Italian food. Wok This Way opened a few years ago and has already managed to garner a reputation for serving the best and most authentic Chinese cuisine in Coimbatore. The decor is classy with Chinese symbols engraved on the walls. The food prepared is delicious and authentic, and the menu also features a few Thai dishes that are worth trying.
