Shah Rukh Khan Opens His Home To Visitors On Airbnb

Shah Rukh Khan, one of the biggest film stars in the world, has announced he is putting his house in Delhi on Airbnb in 2021. The home is the brainchild of his wife, interior designer Gauri Khan, so you’re guaranteed a luxurious experience.

It sounds like a dream opportunity, and in many ways, it is – but there is a catch. The offer is only available for one night, and you’ll have to be quick to fill out an application for a chance of winning a stay.

This isn’t the first time Airbnb has found unique properties to share in this competition-style format. In August 2020, the property rental company gave film fans the chance of “renting” a stay at the world’s last Blockbuster video store.

The home in question lies in a trendy part of Delhi, India: Bollywood power couple Gauri and Shah Rukh Khan live in the elegant southern neighbourhood of Panchsheel Park, and their home reflects the journey they’ve taken together and the remarkable career of the most popular actor in Indian cinema.

“The city of Delhi holds a special place in our hearts and will always be home for us,” the couple said at the launch of the campaign. “Each visit brings back cherished memories of our early days here, and we are absolutely thrilled to host guests in our Delhi home. Airbnb has made us feel at home throughout our travels across the world, and we are excited to open the doors of our own home through this exclusive partnership.”

In a quiet neighbourhood, the home is adorned with mementos from the couple’s travels. You’ll also see how the house is now a family home, with Gauri’s personal touch evident throughout. The winner (and their plus-one) will get to eat a special meal of Khan family favourites and even have the chance to watch some of Khan’s best movies in his own home.

The overnight stay for two will take place on 13 February 2021. To apply, you have to share what an “open arms welcome” means to you by 30 November 2020. The open arms gesture is the signature move of Khan, one he is often pictured doing in his movies – as well as in real life.
