8 Places for a Unique Night Out in Kochi, India

Charishma Thankappan

Unlike the other big cities in India, Kochi lacks what can be called a great ‘nightlife’ in conventional terms. While the city does sleep early, with most places shutting down by around 10-11 pm, there are nonetheless, ways to enjoy the city after dark. From having fun in regular pubs to catching a dose of culture, here are eight unique ways you can be out and about in Kochi past sundown.

1. Enjoy the moonlight at Marine Drive

For those looking for a quiet night out, head to the Marine Drive where you can dig the night lights from the ships and vessels far out to sea, and of course the mellow moonlight. Listen to the sounds of the night and delight in the cool night time ocean breeze. Unlike its counterpart in Mumbai which throngs with crowds at night, Marine Drive in Kochi will be quite empty during the late hours.
