Squid pancake balls are a sphere-shaped Japanese snack made of a wheat flour-based batter and cooked in a specially moulded pan. Particular sticks are used to cook the balls evenly. Typical fillings include squid, minced or diced octopus (tako), tempura scraps (tenkasu), pickled ginger and green onion.
