Dory will be in the spotlight of the exhibition this time, but old favorites such as Nemo, Mr. Ray, and Crush are also going to be making cameos within the event. Various parts of Times Square have been transformed into a massive under-the-sea display. To top that off, there are 32 tailor-made 3D models of the much-loved characters.
But that’s not all! New Finding Dory characters, such as Hank the Octopus, Destiny the Shark, Bailey the Dolphin, plus Fluke and Rudder the Sea Lions, will also make their appearances. The three big exhibitions, as well as a pop-up store inside the Times Square complex, enable visitors to get up close and personal to this deep sea world experience.
Located next to the clock tower, the Open Piazza is the largest exhibition. With the sea and coral reefs as a backdrop, this area is also the home of Dory and Nemo. Mr. Ray floats overhead, standing (or swimming, rather) three meters long! The turtles, also three meters long, can be ridden as well. Close to the large TV screen, a four-meter-long “septopus” called Hank is there to greet you for a fun photo-taking session.
Ground Level Covered Piazza
In the Covered Piazza, enjoy a mini pool with your favorite characters. Want to get up close? You can touch Dory, Nemo and co. in this five-meter-long touch pool.
A pop-up store located inside Times Square sells not only Finding Dory goodies but also other Disney Pixar items! Perfect for those Pixar souvenirs – not so great for parents whose kids want everything in sight.
