Independent partying has plenty of plus points – you call – and drink – the shots, you can go wherever you like and hang out with whoever you connect with. The best places to party in Mexico keep the tequila and mezcal flowing until the early hours of the morning – while some of the best party spots in Europe include the beaches and islands of the Dalmatian Coast of Croatia. From Tulum to Bali, read on for the best places to party as a solo traveller – all of which you can experience by joining Culture Trip.
1 . Phuket, Thailand, known for drawing in backpackers

Southern Thailand has long been a favourite party place for backpackers and travellers, so why not join the beach parties and bar crawls on this non-stop 10-day group tour with Culture Trip? The trip kicks off in style with a late night in Phuket, where you’ll meet the group in Patong for a tour of Bangla Road’s best bars. Be prepared for an early start, though. The sightseeing begins the next day with an overnight stay on Khao Sok Lake – followed swiftly by mangrove kayaking and street food tours in Ao Nang, a sunset boat cruise and cold beers on the Andaman Sea and cocktails and spas in Koh Yao Yai. The tour ends where it all began – with one final party in Patong.

2 . Mexico’s Yucatán Peninsula, where the tequila doesn’t stop flowing

The tequila starts flowing as soon as you touch down in Cancun because this is one of the world’s most popular party-travel destinations. If you’re a solo traveller, then you’ll fit right into this nine-day group tour with Culture Trip. The next day, you’ll be sipping cocktails on the beach in Holbox Island, before travelling deep into the Yucatan Peninsula to visit ancient Chichen Itza and to swim in wild cenotes. There are more chances to party along the way as the tour hits Merida – where you’ll sample the local spirit, Posh, before travelling on to the coast for cocktail-making classes and jungle bar parties in Tulum.

From Split to Dubrovnik, you’ll have all the opportunities you could ever want for wine tasting, cocktails and alfresco dining under the Croatian sun. This eight-day Culture Trip group tour starts in the bars of Split – meanwhile not forgetting a quick tour of Roman Emperor Diocletian’s Palace before the island hopping begins. You’ll take the ferry to Hvar for wine tours and wine bars, ahead of a quick trip to Vis for Venetian history and beaches. There’s more wine tasting in Korcula – before your journey comes to an end with a farewell dinner and a final round of drinks in the old walled city of Dubrovnik.

Since you are here, we would like to share our vision for the future of travel – and the direction Culture Trip is moving in.

Culture Trip launched in 2011 with a simple yet passionate mission: to inspire people to go beyond their boundaries and experience what makes a place, its people and its culture special and meaningful — and this is still in our DNA today. We are proud that, for more than a decade, millions like you have trusted our award-winning recommendations by people who deeply understand what makes certain places and communities so special.

Increasingly we believe the world needs more meaningful, real-life connections between curious travellers keen to explore the world in a more responsible way. That is why we have intensively curated a collection of premium small-group trips as an invitation to meet and connect with new, like-minded people for once-in-a-lifetime experiences in three categories: Epic Trips, Mini Trips and Sailing Trips. Our Trips are suitable for both solo travellers and friends who want to explore the world together.

Epic Trips are deeply immersive 8 to 16 days itineraries, that combine authentic local experiences, exciting activities and enough down time to really relax and soak it all in. Our Mini Trips are small and mighty - they squeeze all the excitement and authenticity of our longer Epic Trips into a manageable 3-5 day window. Our Sailing Trips invite you to spend a week experiencing the best of the sea and land in the Caribbean and the Mediterranean.

We know that many of you worry about the environmental impact of travel and are looking for ways of expanding horizons in ways that do minimal harm – and may even bring benefits. We are committed to go as far as possible in curating our trips with care for the planet. That is why all of our trips are flightless in destination, fully carbon offset - and we have ambitious plans to be net zero in the very near future.
