Zambia rugby gets massive boost . The Zambia Rugby Union has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with RG SPORTS MANAGEMENT COMPANY, a subsidiary of RG EVENTS, which is meant to grow the 7 a-side game in the country. In a statement to this reporter, the #ZRU said, "We would like to bring Zambia 7s rugby back to itsglory days when we used to be invited to the #RugbyWorldSeries hence taking this tep of signing an #MoU with #RGSportsManagement in order to #Up the game. We have agreed on a number of benchmarks, some of which are; 1. Successfully hosting #Zambia7s international games annually with a minimum of 4 African countries #invited , #hosted and #catered for. 2. Organise minimum of 4 international tours per year 3. Finance and manage the 7s national team 4. Players contracts- identify a core team of local players that will be supported with food supplements and training programmes to ensure they are fit to enter camp. 5. Professional placements – to look for placements for our elite players outside Zambia tto give them the exposure needed to raise the game.
