Wecke & Voigts Coffee Shop offers a slice of true German hospitality with a menu that includes traditional meals such as freshly baked Brötchen (rolls). The eatery is located in the centre of Windhoek and has been in operation since 1892, making it one of the oldest in the city. Other menu options include quiche, generous salads and delicious cakes. The adjacent department store is handy should you need to quell your retail cravings.

7. Krisjans Bistro
