Rabat is the capital of Morocco. Aside for having some of the cleanest streets in the country and, of course, being where King Mohamed VI lives, it’s also home to some amazing traditional Moroccan steam baths. Locally called hammam, for centuries they have been used for cleansing, relaxation and rejuvenation. Here are Rabat’s best hammam!

Here, you can enjoy some of the best body massages, with top quality products, and amazing facials. Of course, they also have a spacious traditional hammam, where you can get a professional scrub from the kessala (the assistants working the hammam) for full exfoliation.

Villa Diyafa is a boutique hotel and spa in Rabat. Here you’ll find luxury facilities and sometimes you can even book a private room for an extra-special experience. At the hammam, you can opt for a scrub or a massage if you have sensitive skin. The masseuses here are experienced, and many people even describe it as ‘the best massage’ they have ever had in Morocco. All of this for an extremely affordable price of only 300 Moroccan dirhams (£24).

This amazing spa, located near the train station of Rabat Ville, has a stunning hammam. As soon as you step inside Zen Attitude, you can feel the relaxing atmosphere and coziness. Here you can have an amazing hammam experience thanks to the knowledge of the diverse and friendly staff. They also offer Thai massages for a decent price that last over 80 minutes.

Located in the trendy neighborhood of Agdal, this beauty institution is made for women only! You will feel completely taken care off, as they offer massages, manicures, pedicures, make-up and, of course, a traditional hammam, where you will be able to get exfoliated by a professional kessala.
