Casablanca is the biggest city in Morocco since it’s the economic and business centre of the kingdom and one of the most important cities in Africa. The main tourist attractions of the city are the Hassan II mosque, the port, the old Medina, the Moroccan Jewish Museum, and the Twin Center, among others. If you want to travel to Casablanca on a budget, here are the cheapest hotels to stay at – now bookable on Culture Trip.

1. Hotel Ennasma

The building was built in 1920 and renovated in 2015. It is located in the city centre, 10 minutes away from the Hassan II mosque and the beach and 20km (12mi) from Mohamed V of Casablanca Airport. Although it’s a small hotel with only 24 rooms, Ennasma is perfect for travelling couples who want to spend a discreet holiday under the Moroccan sun. You can enjoy a room and a buffet breakfast on the terrace of the hotel overlooking the city.

2. Hotel Du Louvre

Within walking distance of the Ain Diab beach and the Cultural Complex of Sidi Belyout, Hotel du Louvre offers rooms with free WiFi, a TV and a private bathroom with toiletries. The hotel is also close to the Mohamed V Square and Place des Nations Unis, which are the main tourist attractions and symbols of the big city.

This three-starred hotel in Casablanca offers 36 rooms with AC, including private bathrooms with free toiletries, and a restaurant that serves breakfast and dinner. Al Mamoun also has a traditional living room area to take a break in with fresh mint tea after a long day exploring the city. It’s located near main attractions like the Central Market (Marché Central), Sidi Belyout and more.

Located in the medina, it is close to all tourist attractions, including the Hassan II mosque and The Port of Casablanca; some rooms have balconies that overlook the amazing view of the port. It also has a restaurant with a big terrace where you can have Moroccan tea and biscuits, with a great view of the old Medina. This hotel is excellent for travellers who are looking for great service and location since it is also near Rick’s Café – the famous café in the film Casablanca – and the restaurant, La Sqala.

Transatlantique is a four-starred hotel with around 80 rooms. The rooms have AC, TVs, a private bathroom and room service with free WiFi. It is very picturesque and Instaworthy if you want Moroccan architecture in your pictures. It’s located within walking distance of the beach (Ain Diab), and close to Mohamed V Square, which is very popular among tourists.
