Egypt is the most popular country of the Arab world and for good reason. With over 30 centuries of history, this country has its own traditions and cultural beliefs that are still practiced today. A stroll through this land has you wondering what life would have been like during the pharaonic times. Although Egypt has seen many different kingdoms’ rule from ancient Rome to the British Empire, today Egypt is ruled by elected natives.

The city of Cairo presents the magnificent site of the Great Pyramids of Giza. All three of these pyramids descend in size, and the tallest stands at 481 foot. This is a beauty that can only truly be experienced in person. You need to ensure you schedule at least one day to view the attraction, and if possible try to book a guided tour to learn more about the history of the Pyramids. You can also enjoy some adventurous horseback riding through the surrounding desert and capture some beautiful memories, whilst observing the unmissable sandstone statue of the Sphinx… and of course, do not forget to pack your sunscreen.

You can easily spend a few days here and relax by the sea, or book yourself some privacy at the Helnan Palestine Hotel – with a private beach and a variety of spa treatments on offer, you will not regret it. For the explorers there are The National Museum, the catacombs and the huge library of Alexandria, where you can read about the history of Egypt. The seafood in Alexandria is renowned for its variety and taste, so do not forget to try some fresh calamari during your stay.
